Since a large part of our business is Spring Flowering Plants like many of you, we prepare all year for “the season”. So when the Covid issue came just as the season was starting we had the same fear of the unknown as you did. We were relieved to be allowed to stay open and we started shipping.
I would receive a call from a customer in a southern state….”they shut our state down, we’re done” but a few days later we would begin to ship. Then the most amazing thing happened. Plants started selling like crazy. It made us feel so relieved to hear our customers say “we just had the best day since we’ve been in business” or “we’re breaking records”. I could use our experiences from the southern states and let customers know, just ship and it will sell.
So now that the season is close to the end, we are now just grateful. No one was sick here, we were allowed to stay open and business was actually ok.
